Americas 2025 Groups

Less than four weeks on from their epic battle for the gold medal at The World Games in Chengdu, Mexico and the United States have been drawn in separate groups for the women’s tournament at the 2025 IFAF Americas Flag continental championships.

The five teams who hold IFAF World Rankings places were drawn into two groups using the serpentine method, while non-ranked nations were placed at random. Group A sees defending champions number one-ranked USA up against host Panama, Brazil, the first Caribbean nation to enter the continentals Jamaica, and Colombia. In Group B, Mexico will meet The World Games bronze medalists Canada, Guatemala, and Argentina.

The United States and Mexico are also kept apart in the men’s tournament, based on their world rankings. In Group A, USA will defend its crown by taking on a Canada side that beat them in an international friendly earlier this year, Brazil, Guatemala and Colombia. Mexico comes up against hosts Panama, Chile, Argentina, Jamaica and El Salvador in Group B.

In both competitions, the top two teams advance to the semifinals of the knockout stages. The full schedule of games for the 2025 IFAF Americas Flag continental championships will be announced shortly.
