The 2025 IFAF Central American champions will be crowned at the Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador, El Salvador, this week as four nations battle for the region’s international tackle football title.
El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua kicked off the group stages of the 2025 IFAF Central American Championships in April at the Estadio Olímpico José Simón Azcona in Honduras. The tournament action now moves to El Salvador for the final group games this Thursday, July 24, before the Gold Medal and Bronze Medal games are played on Sunday, July 27.
At the Saaif Complex in San Antonio, two nations with 1-1 records from the opening games meet at 12pm CST on Thursday when Guatemala takes on Nicaragua. Guatemala beat El Salvador 14-0 before losing 8-6 to Honduras, while Nicaragua bounced back from a 14-8 defeat to Honduras to put 38 unanswered points past El Salvador.
At 3pm on Thursday the hosts face a tough challenge as they seek a first win against a 2-0 Honduran team looking to confirm a place in Sunday’s final having beaten both Nicaragua and Guatemala.
At the Estadio Cuscatlan, the top two teams in the final standings will meet for the 2025 IFAF Central America Championships gold medal at 3pm CST on Sunday, July 27. The third and fourth placed teams will contest the bronze medal game at 11am.
