IFAF World
Mental Health 2022
10 October 2022
This World Mental Health Day IFAF is proud to be supporting Mind in the fight to raise awareness of mental health.
Mind is a British charity that provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding, including in sport.
They have produced a toolkit to support people in understanding mental health and accessing the services they need.
Access the toolkit here.
Donations are made to Mind when nations contribute to our Forest Garden - part of our sustainability programme.
Sometimes, finding the words to say how you are feeling is difficult, it feels like no one is listening, or no one understands – but Mind do, as do many charities and support services in our member nations across the world.
The links between good physical health and mental wellbeing are well recognised. Physical activity, such as playing football, can be very beneficial for mental wellbeing.
IFAF urges all those involved in football to take time to consider how you can support your members and your team mates.
Does someone not quite seem themselves? Speak to them, ask them specific questions, go for a coffee or tea. Starting a simple conversation can make a huge difference and together we can keep fighting for better mental health.
