IFAF Play – the new digital home of flag football data and statistics – will debut when the world’s top 16 men’s and top 16 women’s teams of elite flag football athletes compete at IFAF World Flag 2026 in Düsseldorf from August 13-16.
At IFAF.Play.Sport fans can follow every game live with real-time scores, statistics, standings, schedules, and updated tournament brackets.
Fans can stay connected as they track every touchdown, interception, flag pull, penalty, and key moment with live play-by-play updates.
“As the official digital ecosystem for IFAF flag football, IFAF Play is designed to support the sport at every level, connecting competitions, athletes, officials, member federations, fans, broadcasters, and partners through one seamless platform,” said IFAF President Pierre Trochet. “As flag football enters a new era, our sport deserves a digital platform that matches its ambition. IFAF Play is a modern ecosystem designed to elevate the sport on and off the field.”
IFAF Play is a joint venture between IFAF and Swiss tech group Athleon, driven by AI-powered voice recognition which automatically transforms commentary into structured play-by-play data. Reduced manual data entry improves speed, consistency, and accuracy. Every moment of action is recorded in real time and creates a complete statistical history for every game.
Version 1.0 will be rolled in Düsseldorf, promising a revolution for flag football’s fans, media, broadcasters and partners. IFAF Play will massively enrich the way people experience the game and will integrate fan polling and gaming, and detailed historical information on each athlete.
“We have never had this level of data before in flag football and what’s important is that we are creating and keeping all of the value inside the sport, and inside the IFAF family,” added Trochet. “That is massively important for us as an Olympic International Federation, in terms of how we operate and grow commercially alongside American football’s powerful pro leagues. We believe this is a model that other IFs will want to consider for themselves.”
Subscribers will be able to experience every play, follow their favorite teams and athletes, and receive instant notifications wherever they are in the world.
This one-stop solution for all flag football performance data management will be available to social leagues, to national federations and all the way through to IFAF’s NFL partners and TMRWSports with whom IFAF is engaging around the launch of a new professional flag football league.
Athletes may build their own profile and stay connected with fans by showcasing their performances, statistics, achievements, and career milestones through an official player profile. Game Officials will have everything they need with an ability to access assignments, schedules, match information, and competition updates from any device.
