American football needs more women leaders!
As part of its commitment to growing female representation at all levels of the sport, IFAF is investing in the development of the next generation of female leadership in American football by establishing the IFAF Women’s Leadership Program.
All 75 IFAF member federations are invited to nominate outstanding women who are actively involved in American football for an exclusive online leadership and empowerment bootcamp series. Applications are now open for IFAF's first cohort of future women’s leaders and up to 17 outstanding women will be selected to participate in an online development program delivered by top executive performance coach Gabriela Müller.
IFAF is inviting applications from players, coaches, officials, volunteers and staff members who are committed to the the sport and aspire to step into roles with greater impact and influence.

“Increasing women’s participation in IFAF governance is among the highest priorities of my presidency,” said IFAF President Pierre Trochet. “I was delighted that Congress backed this commitment in voting through statutes reforms last December that will create new spaces for women at our sport’s top tables. The Women’s Leadership Program is another step, allowing us to identify, support, and help champion women already active in the sport.”
Gabriela Müller’s program holds a decade long accredited track record. It is recognized as one of the most effective leadership programs for women in sport, with proven results at grassroots, national, and international levels. The program integrates modern adult learning methods and practical tools that translate into measurable action.
The three core goals are:
- Build transformational leadership grounded in strong self-awareness and strengths.
- Increase personal impact through effective stakeholder management, strong visibility, and tangible results.
- Equip women with practical strategies to get nominated or elected to decision making positions and to actively own their leadership careers.
The first program of online sessions will take place on July 13 (2-3.30pm CET), July 21 (2-3.30pm CET) and September 7 (2-3.30pm CET).
