Hungary (0-1) hosts Poland (0-1) in the 2026/27 IFAF U19 European Tackle Football Championships with both teams looking for their first U19 Euros win and preparing to join the teams battling for seventh place overall.
On their international debut in April, Poland came within three points of upsetting Finland, losing 16-13 to the traditional European powerhouse.
“Our team is very excited and ready to compete on the European stage in Hungary,” said Poland head coach T.J. Richardson. “After our last game the coaching staff was able more accurately to analyze our strengths and weaknesses so that we could make the appropriate adjustments.
“We had a very intense three-day camp in August to rebuild team chemistry and establish our identity on all three units. We are fully aware how talented Team Hungary is and expect this game to come down to the final whistle.
“The players have worked extremely hard and the entire staff has put in long hours in hopes of securing a historic first win in Polish U19 national team history. The pride of bringing honor to the entire country burns within everyone involved.”
Hungary head coach László Pacuk said: “Playing against Poland is a great opportunity for our U19 players to test themselves at the international level. We have worked hard during our preparation, and I am proud of the commitment and attitude the players have shown throughout the process.
“We know we are facing a strong and well-prepared Polish team, so we expect a very competitive game. Our goal is to play with discipline, energy and confidence, and to represent Hungary with pride. Most importantly, we want our players to gain valuable international experience. We are looking forward to the challenge and to a great game of football.”
