Puerto Rico remains on top of both the men’s and women’s tournaments with the only unbeaten records after the second day of action at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Flag Football Regional Championships being played from June 18-21 in El Salvador.

The focus switched to the Estadio Las Delicias in Santa Tecia on day two, where a third day of round robin play will decide the quarterfinals matchups on Saturday, starting at 8.45am local time. The first of those knockout games will be played in the men’s competition when the fourth and fifth placed teams meet and third plays sixth, both at 2pm.

In the men’s tournament, Puerto Rico moved to 4-0 with wins over Dominican Republic (1-3) and host El Salvador (2-2) and the story of the day was Jamaica (3-1) climbing up to second place with wins over Nicaragua (1-3) and Dominican Republic (1-3). Nicaragua’s first win came in a close game as they edged Cayman Islands by a single point, winning 28-27.

The two unbeaten teams after opening day in women’s tournament met for top spot and it was Puerto Rico (4-0) who defeated El Salvador (2-2) and then beat Jamaica (2-2) to take control of the group. The day began with a 19-19 stalemate between Cayman Islands (1-2-1) and Nicaragua (0-3-1) and then saw Jamaica stay in touch with the leaders with a 28-point shutout of Nicaragua.
