The Korea American Football Association (KAFA) has introduced a nationwide school outreach initiative, the “Flag Football Visiting Class” program, where certified flag football coaches visit elementary, middle, and high schools to introduce and teach the sport.
As part of a long-term development strategy, all instructors involved in the program completed KAFA’s official coaching certification process, ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience as KAFA delivered the program to 37 schools across Korea. These sessions are integrated into regular physical education classes or after-school programs, allowing students to engage with the sport over a sustained period.
Through this initiative, KAFA aims to increase participation, build awareness, and create a strong foundation for the future of flag football in Korea. Students who are introduced to the sport are provided with pathways to continue their development, including participation in domestic competitions and potential progression into higher levels of the game.
The men’s and women’s national teams have represented Korea at the 2023 and 2025 Asia-Oceania continental championships and at the 2024 IFAF Flag Football World Championships in 2024.
