Team Finland got off to a great start, stopping Sweden’s opening drive on their own 6-yard line and scoring next touchdown as RB Karri Pajarinen completed an impressive 90-yard run to endzone. When the Finns got the ball back next with interception and scored another fast touchdown by 44-yard pass from QB Miro Kadmiry to Johannes Jauhiainen, the home crowd was expecting an easy win. There was 5.29 left in the first quarter when scoreboard showed 14-0
Then Swedish defense shut down the doors and the sky above opened. Sweden's first two points were posted by DB Nicholas Peterson tackling Finnish running back in their own endzone and with few big plays by QB Philip Juhlin, Sweden managed to score their first touchdown. Six points were collected by WR Edvin Tabordas 81-yard reception. The half-time score was 14-9.In the second half of the game Sweden managed to control the wet ball better than the Finns. Sweden’s second touchdown was scored by Philip Juhlin with a one-yard run and with only 2.32 left on the clock Timmy Göransson ended a one-yard run into Finland's endzone.
MVP Philip Juhlin completed 9 of 26 pass attempts for 243 yards, one touchdown and on interception on a rainy and wet field. Juhlin also carried ball 55 yards with 11 carries and scored one touchdown.
