Ghana and Trochet
As the eyes of the football world turned to Las Vegas for the reimagined NFL Pro Bowl it hasn't just been the superstar coaches and players or even the jaw-dropping Las Vegas skyline that has caught the eye. Teams from around the world that have been supported by the NFL's development programmes have gathered to play each other and showcase their skills and enthusiasm for the fast-growing game. Alongside teams from the United Kingdom, Mexico and Germany are Ghana. Collaborative work between the NFL and the Ghana Federation has seen the sport develop in the school system with events held in the capital, Accra, and strides made in providing coach and referee education to ensure the sustainable growth and development of the sport. Whilst in Las Vegas, IFAF President Pierre Trochet, had the opportunity to meet the players and the coaching staff. "It has been a privilege to meet the players here this week and to talk to them about why the love the sport so much' said Trochet. 'It has also been wonderful to see their level of play, alongside that of their peers.' Trochet continued 'The opportunity to speak with the leadership of the federation has been invaluable. They have worked incredibly hard to build partnerships and lay the foundations for the sport's future. As we work with nations around the world we can use their best practice to inform and educate others.'
