The Cameroon American Football Federation 2022 season ended on a high note with a series of games staged at the Olembe Complex Stadium. Four teams, the Douala Dockers, Garoua Crusaders, Yaounde Lions and Santa Cowboys went head-to-head for the national title. A day of close action saw the Santa Cowboys secure the silverware in front of a loud and passionate fanbase. The Cowboys were presented their title by two guests of honour. Mrs Agnes Filikeng - the personal representative of the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, and the United States Ambassador to Cameroon, H.E. Christopher J. Lamora, In his closing speech, President of the Cameroon Federation, Mr. Awasum E.M. Jr thanked the distinguished guests and Minister of Sports H.E. Prof. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, for his patronage. The President emphasised the importance of such a gathering for the growth and development of American football in Cameroon and vowed that 2023 would see a further strengthening of the nation's football programme to provide more opportunities for people to play, referee and coach.
