The IFAF Women's World Championship reaches the Semi-Final stage today. Following convincing wins in their opening fixtures last year's gold and silver medalists United States and Canada have made it safely through their side of the draw. The United States ran out victors over a disciplined German side by 63 to 0. After racking up 21 points in the first quarter the United States posted 14 in each of the remaining three quarters, led by a standout MVP performance by Bushman. Canada for their part faced an Australia side that sought to spring a few surprises with their formation. A tight first quarter saw the teams tied at 6-6 but a blistering start in the second saw Canada rack up 14 unanswered points and take a decisive lead - a lead they never looked like losing as they ran out eventual 33-6 winners. With Mexico v Great Britain awarded to Great Britain, the remaining game of the day was host nation Finland taking on Nordic rivals Sweden.  A tight first quarter saw Finland eek out a 7-0 lead before they set the tone for the United States later in the evening by scoring 14 points in the following quarters a securing a comprehensive 49-0 victory.
